FCE8: Initial Findings of the AAP/OF/SEPA Joint Consensus on New Technologies in Oral Reconstructive Medicine
Description
The AAP will conduct a joint scientific consensus workshop on New Technologies in Oral Reconstructive Medicine with the Osteology Foundation (OF) and the Spanish Society of Periodontology (SEPA) in September 2025. Through literature reviews and a consensus panel of expert opinions, the goal of this workshop is to provide an updated perspective on the therapeutic use of scaffolds for bone and soft tissue regeneration, the therapeutic use of cells and/or biologics for bone and soft tissue regeneration and explore emerging technologies and personalized treatment strategies in oral reconstructive medicine.Educational Objectives
- Explore the latest developments of bone or soft tissue replacement graft (autologous, allografts, xenogeneic or synthetic) prior to or at implant placement.
- Discuss innovative approaches, such as cell therapy and / or biologics, in combination with a bone or soft tissue replacement graft, for enhancing oral tissue regeneration and reconstruction.
- Explore the use of emerging technologies and personalized strategies to improve the results of regenerative therapies, and their implications for oral reconstructive procedures.
