By magnifying the surgical field, improving illumination, and enabling the use of precise instruments, microsurgical techniques can reduce invasiveness and achieve a minimally invasive approach. However, its effective use requires mastering a learning curve to develop new skills in an optimal setting, including a well-organized operating room and proper ergonomics for both the surgeon and the assistant.
This presentation aims to explore the role of the surgical microscope in periodontal and implant surgery, highlighting its minimally invasive philosophy and its practical application for achieving highly precise, predictable outcomes.
