GS4: Single Implant in the Esthetic Zone: Lessons Learned and Unlearned
Program Track: Implant Surgery and Prosthetic Rehabilitation
Presenters
Description
Implant therapy in the esthetic zone demands precision, planning, and interdisciplinary synergy. This comprehensive session covers every stage—from timing of placement and loading protocols to evidence-based clinical guidelines—ensuring predictable, and esthetic results. Participants will learn when, why, and how to perform soft tissue grafting, understand the prosthodontist’s perspective on provisionalization, abutment and crown selection, and gain practical tips for prosthetically driven surgical placement. Real-world cases will highlight strategies for achieving optimal esthetics and function in even the most challenging anterior site.
Educational Objectives
- • Evaluate the evolution of decision-making protocols for timing of implant placement in the esthetic zone, supported by clinical case presentations and expert reflections on changes in workflow and rationale.
- • Demonstrate evidence-based strategies for soft tissue grafting around anterior implants, including indications, timing, techniques, and anticipated outcomes to optimize esthetic and biologic results.
- • Apply prosthetically driven surgical planning principles by integrating key prosthodontic considerations such as provisionalization, material selection, inter-arch space, and abutment/crown design.
- • Analyze interdisciplinary perspectives on anterior implant treatment planning through real-world clinical cases.
- • Engage in interactive learning and audience-driven discussion using case-based questions, fostering active participation and deepening clinical understanding through peer and expert insights.
