Biography Text: Dr. Yung-Ting (Lizzy) Hsu, DDS, MDSc, MS, PhD, is Associate Professor with tenure and Vice Chair of the Department of Periodontics at the University of Washington. She teaches at both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels and has published over 40 articles and book chapters. Her research focuses on periodontal disease pathogenesis, peri-implant disease prevention and treatment, and sinus augmentation. Dr. Hsu’s work has been recognized with honors including the AAP Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring Award (2021) and the AAP Clinical Research Award (2021). She is a dual-board-certified periodontist and diplomate of both the American and Taiwanese Boards of Periodontology.
