Biography Text: Ramzi Abou-Arraj, DDS, MS is a Professor at the Department of Periodontology and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He is a 2003 graduate of the Université Saint Joseph School of Dentistry, Lebanon and holder of two Periodontology Certificates (Lebanese University and UAB) and a Master's degree from UAB. Dr. Abou-Arraj is a Diplomate and Examiner of the American Board of Periodontology and the recipient of several teaching and service awards, including the AAP Foudation Lazzara Fellowship in Advanced Implant Surgery, AAP Educator Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics, and AAP R. Earl Robinson Periodontal Regeneration Award. He maintains an active faculty practice of periodontology and implant surgery.
