Biography Text: Dr. Teresa Chanting Sun, DDS, MS, is a specialist in periodontology and implantology at Mackay Memorial Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at the National Defense School of Dentistry, Taipei. She is a Diplomate of both the American and Taiwanese Boards of Periodontology and earned her MS and Advanced Education Certificate in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, USA. Dr. Sun is a former ITI Scholar at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, an ITI Fellow, Communications Officer of ITI Section Taiwan, and Chair of International Affairs for the Taiwan Academy of Periodontology. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters and serves on several editorial boards. Dr. Sun is also recognized as a standout clinician and lectures internationally as invited speakers and moderators inluding Europeio 10, ITI world Syposium 2024, 2024 AAP and Europerio 11. Her honors include the EuroPerio9 Perio Contest Award (2018), Osteology Case Award (2020), and Young ITI Speaker Award (2021).
