Biography Text: Kelly Turner, PME., BA (Kin)., RDH, Professional Practice Advisor, Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA). Kelly Turner recently retired as an educator and former program coordinator for Fanshawe College's Dental Hygiene Program in London, Ontario. Her expertise in histology, radiography, periodontology, and clinical courses has given Kelly an ideal perspective on clinical attachment levels and radiographic bone loss in classifying periodontal disease. Kelly served as a subject matter expert for the National Dental Hygiene Certification Exam, writing and reviewing exam items for over 15 years, and as a clinical examiner for the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario for nearly 10 years. Her educational journey includes a degree in kinesiology from Western University, London, Ontario (1991), a diploma in dental hygiene from Fanshawe College, London, Ontario (1995), and a Professional Master's of Education from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario (2022). Kelly's commitment to lifelong learning has been a cornerstone of her career. Kelly enjoys speaking to dental hygienists and educators to promote and elevate the use of best practices in dental hygiene. She is passionate about advancing the field and sharing her knowledge with others as CDHA's Professional Practice Advisor. In her free time, Kelly loves to paddleboard, play pickleball, and spend time with her family.
