Biography Text: Dr. Gilbert Fru is currently a third year Periodontics Resident at the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at the University of Buea in Cameroon. He later did a post-bacc at Texas Southern University in Houston, TX, before going on to earn his dual DDS/MPH degrees from the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Driven by his passion for restoring oral health and enhancing patient well-being, Dr. Fru is passionate about advancing his skills in the intricate field of Periodontology, which is the reason why he decided to pursue a Periodontics residency. He is eager to contribute to the advancement of periodontal practices through continued study, research activities and providing compassionate patient care while ensuring that patients feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their treatment process. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Fru enjoys spending time with his family and friends, travelling/exploring the world, and learning new languages.
